XactGen AI is the AI and data science company at the Software Technology Park, University of Kotli, Azad Jammu and Kashmir. Clients also know it as XactGen. The work is practical: software, models, and dashboards that a business can use.
Services
The company builds custom AI systems, machine learning, deep learning, computer vision, and natural language tools. That includes chatbots, sentiment analysis, and generative AI.
Newer work sits in three related skills. Generative AI covers language models, prompt design, and text-to-speech. RAG systems let an assistant answer from a client's own documents. Model fine-tuning adapts a model in PyTorch or TensorFlow and checks it on new examples.
The same team delivers the surrounding software: data analytics, business dashboards in Power BI, Tableau, and Excel, websites, mobile apps, small embedded systems, and project documentation.
Products
Public products and client work include a browser-based virtual try-on tool, interactive dashboards, and business websites for clients in the United States, Australia, Pakistan, and Italy. Education work includes the Smart Animated Tutor, a web system that uses generative AI, text-to-speech, and 3D avatars to teach alphabets, numbers, colours, and shapes to children aged 3 to 6, with a poem generator, a drawing canvas, and a teacher dashboard.
About the founder
Ashir Mehfooz is the founder and chief executive. His curriculum vitae uses the spelling Asher Mehfooz. He completed a Bachelor of Science in Data Science at the University of Kotli from October 2021 to December 2025, with a CGPA of 3.89 out of 4.00, and graduated as gold medalist. XactGen was the university's first student-led startup registered under the Software Technology Park.
